The water continued to move.

The leaves moved with the air.

This recording began beside the water.

A living Ash Tree.

Its roots anchored in the earth.

Its branches reaching toward the light.

And beside it, the Nabão River continuously flowing through Agroal.

Bioelectric sensors were gently connected to the tree, detecting subtle variations occurring within the living plant.

Changes in its environment...

Light.

Temperature.

Humidity.

Movement.

The conditions surrounding the tree.

All become part of a constantly changing biological moment.

Those variations were translated into control signals and allowed to guide a modular synthesizer.

Light disappears and returns.

And the tree remains.

Simply rooted enough to allow movement around it.

But underneath all the equipment, the intention remains very simple.

This Ash Tree was standing beside the flowing waters of Agroal long before I arrived with sensors, cables and a synthesizer.

When I left...

the river continued.

The tree remained.

And for thirty minutes,

I had the privilege of listening.
